The other day I was asked on Etsy about the different colorants of glass, how they are applied, and to general safety of glass toys. I replied in turn with what I could explain briefly. That glass is colored in a variety of ways, metal salts melted into the glass as it changed from sand, fumed silvers on the surface, or even enamel paint and heat fusing, to name a few. There is way more on the subject than could be explained easily, but it did shed light on the many ways I have taken to ensure I craft a completely body safe product. Minute details I've learned or years of crafting, ensuring a perfectly functional work of beauty. I am always looking for ways to refine techniques, and the personal reflection was most welcome. I am grateful for the inquiries from this blog writer.
